MoggyMan New Member. Messages 4 Points 1. Hi Please be gentle - this is my first post here and I'm not sure I'm in the correct place or if any of the questions that come out of my keyboard are dumb.

I've just installed a 4 channel kit although I'm only using 2 cameras I got from Amazon, which seemed well reviewed. The kit is made by some outfit called Yeskamo which is obviously Chinese and not something I'd heard of before.

TP-Link's config utility shows a pretty steady link of around Mbps. The NVR is within feet of the router and has a 2Tb disk in it. I've been in touch with their Support and am running the latest versions of Windows client and NVR firmware, allegedly. Issue 1 - In live feed and in captured video, some of the motion looks like it's from an old silent movie in that it jerks or stutters.

I'll see a car or a person enter the shot and within a second or so they have advanced 10 paces or a car zips across the screen and I just see the backside of it leaving the shot.

I'm wondering if it's just down to cheapo cameras? The downloads from eSeeCloud in particular are iffy to say the least.

It either hangs actually downloading them to the PC, claims to download a video successfully but the MP4 file is all but empty or it downloads an MP4 which is unrecognised by any Windows player known to man. I've tried using umpteen utilities to 'fix' whatever is wrong with these damned things but without success.

I'm still testing but at the time of writing I don't know if it's dodgy video feed from the camera, bugs in the NVR itself, bugs in eSeeCloud or the whole thing is simply duff - in any event it ain't working for the purpose intended!! If the Police ask me for a copy of some CCTV footage, as they have done in the past, this kit would be near-useless if it won't pop out a video file that can be played.

This doesn't happen to every video capture though, which I find odd. So is this a case of "Well if you will buy kits from Amazon Thank you for sticking with me.View, search and get stats on reviews and star ratings, as displayed at US App Store. Use the dropdown menu to select which country you would like to view reviews for. Solid Cameras seem to go out randomly on the app, but not on the actual monitor.

If that was fixed it would be 5 stars. Does not work cell connection Since three updates back, cellular connection fails to connect. Turned off 5G, back to 4G, still fails to connect. Once back on Wi-Fi, connection resumes. Useless when away from home now, used to function. It is stable and works like it should. The app could use some refinement, but overall and most importantly, it works. App is garbage It does not when I leave home, thus defeating the purpose of a security camera app.

Login I have been trying to login, I didn't change anything but all of a sudden it's saying my password is wrong It sent one verification code to my email and when I tried it it said it was the wrong code. I tried 5 more times to get a new code sent and never got one. Not in iTunes. Not in the app. Vids can not be taken out of the app after backing up a vid from my NVR. Update made app crash all together Good app until the update, app crashes as it tried to open. Doesn't work now.

App only works on local LAN which make this App useless. It never saves or notifies me of the things I have listed as alarms. When I tap on Settings again, the Push Notification button is off.You may wish to try over or reset your password.

Continue reading to see what else you can do to improve your green computing. Limit screen-saver use. A screen saver does not save energy. In fact, more often than not, a screen saver not only will draw power for the monitor, but also will keep the CPU from shutting down.

Instead, set your computer to turn off the monitor first, then go into standby mode after a longer period of inactivity. Being connected may limit your system's ability to enter standby mode. Many popular computer games and other third party software packages that run in the background will not allow the computer to go to sleep - even if they are paused or the active window is minimized.

Some web sites or pages that have active banners and or animated advertisements will not allow the computer to sleep on its own and must be closed, or the computer put manually into a sleep state. Enabled power management to place your monitor, hard drives and computer into a low-power "sleep" mode after a period of inactivity. For example, you can create a power scheme for playing music CDs that shuts off your hard drive and monitor immediately, but never puts your system into standby mode.

To further reduce power consumption, turn off computing and peripheral devices that are not being used or being used for an extended period of time such as overnight.

Plug all your electronics into one surge protector, so you can easily switch them all off when you leave the room or go to sleep. Most power supplies such as your cell phone charger continue to draw power and generate heat even when not attached to a device. This app works flawlessly on both my tablet and phone running 2 nvr systems total of 12 cameras awesomely designed app errors have been fixed for Qualcomm so Intel Qualcomm and all other platforms should work great due to latest update.

Please please fix issue for some Samsung device like note 8, it's freezing at startup and needs to force stop process every time before run this app. Do it as early as possible you can. Doesn't work right, doesn't reply video.

Always search null. Goes back to military time constantly. Very bad app. Constantly locks up and you have to exit and come back in to view your cameras. I can only search Once then have to exit and come back. Waste of money wish I never bought the system. The app stops working on my hp oppo r9s since yesterday. It always appear as "Timeout" and this prob has been reported but no reply from the developer till now.

What a shame!! It will work when I'm around the cameras but not away from them that's when I need it to work so I can watch my damn home. Google Plus Twitter Facebook Reddit. More functions are waiting for you, just download it. Version 3. Added support for low-power products and functions.

Thread starter cableman Start date May 3, I have a Dell Optiplex which has a 2. I have windows xp installed and I have a video card that has mb of ram.

I am unsure of the brand of video card or further specs. I bought it off of ebay some time ago. My problem is that when I try to play streaming video it wants to freeze a lot. I have already given more space for the virtual memory on my computer: I think 4 to 8 gb and I have set my hardware acceleration way down but these changes haven't helped.

I can download and play movies fine, I only seem to have problems when playing streaming video like from hulu. I have used other computers and they don't seem to have as much problems with this so I hope that somebody knows what I need to do to solve this problem. Thanks in advance for any help. When you say freezing, do you mean just the video freezes, or the whole system?

If its just the video, it could have something to do with your internet connection. Is the computer on wired internet or wireless? I am using a router but it is hardwired and not wireless. By freezing, I mean the picture will freeze like a still shot of the movie for a few seconds and then it will resume playing.

The big problem is that it does it repeatedly. I find that some websites are worse than others so I thought it might be due to bandwidth but other computers don't seem to have as much problems and they are comparable to mine and not faster. Updated your windows, java and flash.?

Sounds like a software issue to me. Freezing streams could be caused by many things, not always that logical and clear. However this doesn't really sound like a hardware issue. This page contains recommendations on what to do if the computer freezes or deadlocks. If your computer has stopped responding, follow the steps below to attempt to get the computer to unfreeze. Some programs have an autosave feature. If you were editing a document at the time of the lockup, it might be recoverable after rebooting.

If your program does not have an autosave feature, you may lose all unsaved work due to a freeze or deadlock.

What should I do when a computer freezes or locks up?

It is important to save your work often to minimize or prevent this possibility. If only your mouse is frozen or not working, see: Mouse not detected or working in Windows. Give the computer a few minutes to process. Sometimes a computer may appear to be frozen, but it's only slow or busy processing a complex task. See if the computer responds by pressing the Caps Lock key on the keyboard and watching the Caps Lock LED light to see if it turns on and off.

If the computer can turn on and off Caps Lock, continue to the next step. If nothing happens, the computer is deadlocked, and you must reboot the computer. If the Caps Lock can turn on and off, Windows is still working, but another program may not be responding and causing the computer to freeze.

If the Task Manager can open, highlight the program that is not responding and choose End Taskwhich should unfreeze the computer. It could still take ten to twenty seconds for the unresponsive program to be terminated after you choose End Task.

If the Task Manager opens, but the mouse is still not working, it may be a problem with mouse's hardware. If none of the above steps helped, you must reboot the computer. To reboot a frozen computer, press and hold down the power button until the computer turns off. Once the computer is off, wait a few seconds, then turn the computer back on and let it start as normal.

During the computer startup process, you may see a screen asking if you want to start the computer in Safe Mode or Start Windows Normally. Choose the Start Windows Normally option and see if Windows starts up correctly, without error.

Any work that was not saved is lost when a frozen computer needs to be reboot. In some situations, some programs may autosave your work every few minutes. If the program you are using performs this action, you can recover the work up to the last autosaved state.

If you tried all steps above and the computer still freezes, there may be defective hardware or a device driver that is not working correctly. A defective hard drivestick of RAMvideo cardor another piece of hardware can cause a computer to freeze. A device driver can also cause a computer to freeze if it's out of date, conflicting with another driver, or not working properly.

If you determine that a defective piece of hardware is causing the freezes, replace the hardware right away to prevent further damage to the computer.
